A QUICK PIT STOP

From video to faster laps

  1. Upload a video. Use Upload, or drop a file on Videos. Film from above so the whole track is in view. The date comes from the video itself.
  2. Mark the track. Drag the four corner handles onto the track’s outer corners (on a rounded corner, where the straight rails would meet). When you let go, the fisheye correction straightens the rails by itself; the − and + beside the slider fine-tune it.
  3. Check the grid and timing loop. Line the tile grid up with the floor seams, then drag the timing loop onto the real loop. This setup stays with the video.
  4. Find cars and keep yours. Every car is tracked automatically. Keep a session for each car you care about; kept sessions appear under Sessions.
  5. Replay and race a ghost. Open a session for the top-down replay. Turn on Ghost car, or press Ghost on a lap: that lap replays as a see-through car that restarts each time your car crosses the timing loop, and the gap shows who is ahead.
  6. Find the next tenth. Analysis shows lap overlays, speed and G, the corners that cost the most time, line consistency and a theoretical lap.
  7. Compare two laps. Pick two laps from any car or session on the same layout. Press Align on track and tap a section to cue both there, then play them side by side.
  8. Look closer. Scroll to zoom, drag to pan, Fit to see the whole grid. Drag a turn label (T1, T2…) to move it. Alignment never changes the original lap times.
How to read the data

Replay and analysis use a smooth fitted path. Each car keeps its own line; line offset is deviation from the shared average line. Raw positions shows the original tracking for review. Dashed paths and Inferred badges indicate gaps reconstructed from evidence on both sides, or dynamics affected by nearby gaps. Unsupported gaps stay empty. Inferred dynamics are excluded from summary extrema and averages. Turn G is a positive magnitude with L or R for direction. Acceleration/deceleration G retains its sign. Speed and G scale with your tile size. Source car cutouts follow the fitted path; Original video preserves the recording.

Keyboard: Space to play/pause · Arrow keys to step frames · Escape to cancel alignment. When choosing an alignment spot, arrow keys move along the track and Enter confirms.
